About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sourcing Manager to join our team at Arc'teryx Hong Kong Sourcing Office. As a key member of our sourcing team, you will be responsible for implementing and executing sourcing strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and drive supply chain performance.
  • Lead and coach sourcing specialists to develop core competencies and capabilities in the team.
  • Negotiate and mitigate production capacity issues with vendors.
  • Analyze and assess vendor performance to identify potential risks and implement mitigation actions.
  • Research and assess new vendors to support business growth and capacity needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new vendors and continuously build capabilities throughout the vendor base.
  • Provide support to the Sustainability team on compliance and ESG management.
  • Analyze past and current CBD's of COL styles, conduct cost comparisons across vendor base to identify improvement areas to support long term margin improvements.
Future Opportunities
  • Support ALO sourcing management to transform current delivery KPI reporting to a more robust real-time online dashboard.
  • Propose well-defined processes for seasonal purchase conditions setting prior to seasonal business allocations.
  • Identify and propose more Footwear sourcing responsibilities for the ALO team.
  • Work more in-depth with current and future vendor base to propose continuous improvements on vendor level for efficiency and cost improvements.
  • Build a talent pipeline and create career development opportunities that inspire and challenge the team.
Requirements
  • Degree in Merchandising/Business Management or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 8+ years' experience in apparel sourcing or merchandising in a global company.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders of diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics.
  • Proven performance history with domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturers.
  • Extensive knowledge of raw materials, technical construction, and sourcing. Footwear experience is a plus.
  • Expertise in negotiation, problem-solving, and multi-tasking.
  • Assertive and high level of self-initiative.
  • Fluent in English and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook, and knowledge of ERP & PLM systems is an advantage (SAP, Centric, etc.).
