About the Role

We seek an experienced Research Associate to join our Healthcare team within our Investment Research Group in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will focus on researching healthcare companies in the APAC region, leveraging innovative thinking and analytical skills to drive differentiated insights.

The ideal candidate will work closely with senior analysts, portfolio managers, and other cross-functional teams to contribute to the development of high-quality research and investment recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform continuous due diligence on healthcare companies in emerging markets Asia
    • Stay abreast of key macroeconomic and government policy developments in these countries
    • Create and maintain detailed financial models to aid in analyzing existing and prospective investments
    • Attend company meetings, industry conferences, and specific sector events
    • Complete complex analytical projects under tight deadlines
    • Maintain the integrity of industry and comparative valuation models
    • Contribute to written research and make investment recommendations to global teams
  • Develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including portfolio managers and other analysts
  • Apply analytical expertise to support the development of high-quality research and investment recommendations
Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree with a strong academic record
  • A minimum of 3 years of investment research experience, preferably in the healthcare industry, covering emerging markets Asia
  • Strong financial modeling skills and sound judgment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and a disciplined, bottom-up fundamental approach to research
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in the face of uncertainty
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Fluency in English is required, with fluency in an Asian language being advantageous
