We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist to join our team at Vita Green Health Product Company Limited. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for planning and executing pharmaceutical development programs for innovative health products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of scientists to formulate new health products in various oral forms, including capsules, sachets, and tablets.
- Participate in the development of novel traditional Chinese medicines and post-ITF project research.
- Develop new research technologies in new formulation techniques for novel TCM health products.
- Search for new equipment, write proposals, and secure funding for research projects.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in the technology transfer process.
- Perform formulation characterization, including moisture content, particle size analysis, and microscopic observation.
- Communicate with various departments on the technology transfer development and commercialization of health products.
- Maintain the workflow and provide training to staff, including sourcing vendors of raw materials, developing formulations, scaling-up, and performing technology transfer to production.
- Perform literature searches to support product claims.
- Support other R&D activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Chinese Medicines, Food and Nutritional Science, Botany, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Must have a keen sense of taste and possess chemical knowledge in health supplements, Traditional Chinese Medicine ingredients, and tea.
- Basic knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine properties and functions is highly appreciated.
- 5 years of experience in technical development in the food/FMCG industry, with leadership experience in other related scientific areas also considered.
- Good team working, time management, and multiple project management skills.
