NLS is actively seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their team in Hong Kong. As a key member of the electronic trading group, you will serve as a subject matter expert and business liaison between front office trading teams and technology/engineering teams.

The role involves gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements from traders, quants, and other stakeholders for new electronic trading capabilities, enhancements, and optimizations. You will translate these requirements into functional specifications and technical designs, working closely with the engineering team to ensure accurate implementation.

As a Senior Financial Market Specialist at NLS, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing expertise on exchange rules, market microstructure, and regulatory requirements impacting electronic trading.
  • Participating in industry working groups and staying up-to-date on electronic trading trends and best practices.

In order to succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 8+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst within an investment bank or hedge fund.
  • In-depth understanding of electronic trading workflows, order management systems, trading algorithms, and market microstructure.
  • Experience with equity derivative products is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technology teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel, Python, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Knowledge of exchange rules, market regulations, and compliance requirements related to electronic trading.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Experience in dealing with Asian markets (both developed and emerging) in terms of exchange rules, market conventions/constraints, and workflows.
