Position Overview
We are currently seeking applications for an Actuarial Analyst role within our Life consulting division.
As an integral member of our team, you will assist in the execution and management of a variety of consulting projects across the Asia Pacific region. Your responsibilities may encompass:
- Mergers and acquisitions analysis;
- Reserving evaluations;
- Product innovation and pricing strategies;
- Data examination and verification;
- Modeling and validation of actuarial models;
- Market research and strategic analysis;
- Risk assessment and capital management.
Milliman is committed to providing ongoing training throughout your career, equipping you to evolve into a proficient actuarial consultant capable of delivering effective solutions to our clients' challenges. You will gain exposure to a diverse array of client projects, allowing you to cultivate a robust portfolio of experience. Additionally, you will receive practical training to support your daily responsibilities. Throughout your tenure at Milliman, you will also engage in our marketing initiatives by participating in research and development, preparing materials for publication, and contributing to proposals and presentations for both new and existing clients.
Candidate Profile
We are in search of a well-spoken, confident, analytical, and personable individual who thrives on the challenges and responsibilities that come with a career as an actuarial consultant in our expanding Asia Life Insurance Practice. Specifically, we are looking for candidates who possess:
- A strong intellectual curiosity and the adaptability to learn new concepts;
- A proactive attitude and the capability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, even under tight deadlines;
- A recent graduate or up to three years of relevant experience in the life actuarial sector;
- Proficient modeling skills with actuarial software such as Prophet for junior actuaries, or a strong desire to acquire actuarial modeling skills for recent graduates;
- A solid academic background and fluency in English, with additional language skills (e.g., Cantonese, Mandarin) considered an asset.
