We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Intern to support our team in the development of actuarial models and analysis. As an Actuarial Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including the implementation of IFRS 17, and collaborate with our team to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of our models.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the development of actuarial models and provide analysis to facilitate technical decisions.
- Review technical papers from Group Office and perform product assessments on various IFRS 17 aspects.
- Perform financial impact analysis and reveal the financial implications of IFRS 17 implementation to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Group Office and/or external vendors on the development of IFRS 17 centralized systems.
- Review user requirements to ensure specifications for system build are IFRS 17 compliant.
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, and/or other parties to ensure data and systems after development fulfill user requirements.
- Support data and system UAT and flag up issues encountered.
- Support other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet requests from different parties.
- University students majoring in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Insurance, or Finance with a strong mathematics background.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Prophet, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), or other computer programming languages is an advantage.
