Program Overview

The Manager in Training initiative is a comprehensive, 90-day educational experience designed to immerse a manager in all facets of managing a high-revenue retail operation. Training occurs in various store locations, focusing on essential management principles such as optimizing the in-store experience, recruitment strategies, fostering inclusion and diversity, human resources management, store operations, and visual merchandising.

Career Advancement

Completion of the training program is a prerequisite for progression to the Assistant Manager position. Successfully finishing the program marks the initial step towards leadership roles within the company. Abercrombie & Fitch strongly promotes a philosophy of internal growth, with all District Managers, Regional Managers, Directors, and even the Vice President of Stores having participated in the Manager in Training Program.
