Job Posting Details

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the Dean of Students' Office as Officer of Co-curricular Programs Team. The appointee will be responsible for:

  • Supporting all aspects of experiential learning programs and therapy dog initiatives from planning, promotion to delivery;
  • Providing administrative and technical support for student development programs and the Team's daily operation, including managing student records and database, maintaining website/event calendars, and compiling feedback survey/reports;
  • Providing coaching and advising support to students in their projects to facilitate their learning and personal development; and
  • Performing any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor or senior management of the Office.

The appointee will be required to work flexi-hours including outside normal office hours.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with at least 2 years' post-qualification work experience, with a strong interest in youth development. The appointee should be proactive, detail-minded, a good team player, with an outgoing personality, a growth mindset and a strong sense of responsibility. The ideal candidate should also have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, competent interpersonal and communication skills. Preference will be given to those who have experience in taking care of dogs.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
