Your Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead our strategic growth in the Asia-Pacific region. As a key member of our team, you will focus on establishing high-impact partnerships with banks, fintech firms, enterprises, and stablecoin issuers. Your objective will be to amplify Polygon's presence in the region, promote ecosystem expansion, and solidify our position as a premier blockchain platform for payments and financial applications.

This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the evolution of finance, working alongside visionary industry leaders to transform the way transactions are conducted. You will partner closely with our leadership team to execute our Payments strategy, establish crucial partnerships, and drive sustained business growth.

Main Responsibilities

Partnership Development & Strategic Execution:

  • Identify, engage, and close high-impact partnerships with prominent banks, fintech companies, stablecoin issuers, and enterprises in APAC.

  • Develop and execute a robust pipeline of strategic business opportunities that position Polygon as the leading blockchain platform for payments.

  • Build and maintain influential relationships with major exchanges across APAC to enhance liquidity and streamline on/off-ramp processes.

  • Collaborate with our Enablement Team to develop and expand the APAC ecosystem, introducing new participants and enhancing overall market participation.

  • Set and achieve quarterly business development goals while delivering regular updates to leadership.

Ecosystem Growth & Partnership Enhancement:

  • Collaborate with the APAC leadership team to strengthen connections with regional stakeholders and drive sustainable growth.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for established strategic partnerships, ensuring seamless alignment with Polygon's long-term vision.

  • Partner with our RWA, DeFi, and enterprise teams to cultivate widespread adoption across diverse financial sectors.

  • Represent Polygon at pivotal industry events, conferences, and roundtables, harnessing your professional network to seal key agreements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Market Insights:

  • Forge meaningful connections between our marketing, developer relations, and product teams to boost payments adoption on Polygon.

  • Leverage insights from dApps, fintech firms, and institutions to refine Polygon's payments strategy and enhance user experience.

  • Head strategic initiatives to educate partners about the benefits of Polygon's payments infrastructure.

  • Support marketing campaigns, exclusive networking events, and APAC ecosystem meetups to foster deeper connections.

Requirements

  • Experience & Expertise: 3 - 5+ years in business development within blockchain, fintech, payments, or institutional finance, with a proven track record of securing strategic partnerships.

  • Blockchain & web3 Knowledge: In-depth understanding of stablecoins, real-world asset tokenization (RWA), DeFi, and financial applications in Asia.

  • Relationship-Building: Proven ability to connect, negotiate, and collaborate with financial institutions across fintech, banking, and blockchain.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Thrives in dynamic environments with minimal oversight.

  • Technical Fluency: Able to communicate Polygon's product offerings to institutional partners.

  • Multilingual Advantage: Mandarin fluency is a significant asset for engaging regional stakeholders.

  • Tech & Data Proficiency: Skilled in CRM tools, data-driven decision-making, and partnership growth strategies.

  • Team-Oriented with a Global Perspective: Collaborative mindset supporting Polygon's global teams and driving web3 adoption in payments.
