Job Description

We are seeking a high-calibre Senior Analytics Manager (AI/Machine Learning) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Mining, analyzing, and modeling large structured and unstructured data using advanced statistical, predictive models, and leading machine learning algorithms to explore strategic solutions and actionable recommendations
  • Driving the commercialization of advanced analytics-led solutions with appropriate methodology, managing the business application effectively, and evaluating the results rigorously
  • Bearing close attention to the state of business and anticipating business problems and priorities
  • Contributing to team development, effectiveness, and success by driving the build-up and delivery of AI/machine learning solutions
  • Exploring the data and conducting quantitative analysis to ascertain the root cause of business issues, identifying opportunities, and effective targeting for business growth potential
  • Collaborating and influencing a wide range of partners/stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of AI/machine learning solutions with well-defined performance measurement
  • Ensuring timely and quality analytics deliverables to satisfy business needs effectively under a dynamic business environment
  • Sharing knowledge and good practice, working collaboratively with different parties to create a productive, diverse, and supportive working environment
  • Adhering to HSBC policy, procedures, and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working, exceptional, and project activities

Requirements

  • University degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years' working experience in analytics, modeling, and machine learning/AI/Generative AI
  • Proven experience of people management or collaboration with offshore teams
  • Extensive experience and skill in mining massive volumes of data for quick insight discovery
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with machine learning techniques and algorithms
  • Proficient in Python/R, SQL/BigQuery, Tableau/QlikSense on environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with embedding techniques, RAG, promptings, and LLM fine-tuning, involvement in search engine or recommendation systems is a plus
  • Experience in machine learning model/AI/Generative AI-related risk and control governance
  • Able to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to a wide and varied audience
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, presentation skills, and strong business acumen
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mind-set to ensure efficient and effective customer service delivery
