The Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Medical Waste Treatment Plant Manager to manage the shift, lead the team, and ensure adherence to the waste treatment schedule and compliance with operational procedures, health, safety, environmental, and performance requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Shift Management: Manage the shift and lead the team to ensure adherence to the waste treatment schedule and compliance with operational procedures, health, safety, environmental, and performance requirements.
- Resource Planning: Plan, organize, direct, and control resources such as machinery and manpower during shifts.
- Process Monitoring: Monitor plant processes, react to plant upsets/malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective actions to restore normal operations.
- Issue Resolution: Identify operational issues, equipment malfunctions, or process deviations and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the Engineering and Maintenance Teams to resolve technical problems.
- Emergency Response: Respond to alarms and emergency conditions, taking steps to correct and normalize conditions.
- Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to subordinates and support the development of junior operators.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Higher Diploma or above: In Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience: In chemical plant or process plant operations.
- Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge in wastewater treatment, incineration, or boiler operations is an advantage. Certification as a water tube boiler operator or forklift driver is a plus.
