Key responsibilities include leading all product development and customer experience efforts to ensure sustainable business growth in the mobile-first era.
The ideal candidate will support Retail Business (online and offline, local and outbound) and Transport Business with solutioning and product development to ensure success of those businesses.
Additionally, the role involves acting as the first line of defense to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met while driving business growth with P&L accountability.
The successful candidate will manage product and project management roles and liaise with internal and external parties to deliver the product according to business plan.
They will develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with Octopus' growth objectives, leveraging market insights and trends to identify new opportunities in physical cards, online and mobile services.
The role also involves leading efforts in devising the future technical roadmap for Consumer digital products, such as Mobile Octopus for local users, Mobile Octopus for Tourists, etc.
The successful candidate will drive the development of innovative digital products and services, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the business plan.
They will lead technical implementation teams to deliver delightful products and experiences that are on time and with the highest level of quality.
The role requires taking ownership of Consumer Business' financial performance and profitability, overseeing budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation to optimise returns on investment.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify potential applications, trends, and partnerships that will expand Octopus' business.
They will handle ad-hoc projects as assigned by the management.
