About Our Client

Our client is a leading global asset management company based in the United States, with a total asset under management of over USD 300 billion. They are seeking a highly skilled professional to join their Regional Portfolio Management Support Team.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical support to cross-asset class investment managers in the Asia Pacific region. Key accountabilities include:

  • Order Execution and Control: Ensure accurate and timely execution of orders as the bridge between portfolio managers/traders and the middle office/operations team.
  • Portfolio Rebalancing and Monitoring: Facilitate portfolio rebalancing, asset allocation, and investment monitoring to ensure optimal performance.
  • Cash Management and Operations: Oversee cash management and resolve any reconciliation/operations-related matters by working closely with the operations/external fund administrators.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in ad-hoc projects related to fund setup, system transformation, and workflow automation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess:

  • A well-qualified graduate degree with 5 years +/- relevant portfolio investment support/risk and control experience from an international asset management company.
  • A proactive working attitude and readiness to take on responsibilities.
  • A good understanding of equities markets and trade life cycle.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg AIM or Aladdin is highly desirable.
  • Adaptability to working in a multicultural buyside environment.
Additional Responsibilities

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Portfolio Risk Evaluation and Investment Solutions: Evaluate portfolio risk and identify customized investment solutions with the comprehensive support of product specialists/investment teams.
  • Portfolio Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor client portfolios for performance, risk, and opportunities.
  • Discretionary Mandates and Advisory Services: Provide discretionary mandates, alternative, and capital markets product advisory services with seasoned private bankers.
  • Multi-Asset Class Portfolio Management: Manage multi-asset classes of discretionary portfolios for ultra-high net worth and institutional clients.
  • Model Portfolio Management: Accountable for managing model portfolios with tactical asset allocation determined by the Regional/Global Investment Committee.
  • Portfolio Lead and Team Management: Assume the Asia ex-Japan portfolio lead to manage and oversee equity asset class portfolios, with a team of professionals.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Assist investment managers in tracking the latest market developments and thematic issues related to central bank policies, rates, and key economic indicators.
  • Portfolio Performance and Attribution Analysis: Conduct top-down and bottom-up research, monitor portfolio performance, and attribution analysis.
  • Database Management and Information: Manage database and information of limited partners, investments, and attributes of various funds.
  • Workflow Consistency and Quality Control: Ensure consistency in workflow and quality control of internal, tax, and regulatory reporting.
  • Client Support and Services: Assist clients with portfolio and SPV accounting, payment services, audit, and tax support, waterfall, capital distribution.
