Commercial Development and Strategy

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's global growth strategy, focusing on commercial development and trade logistics.

Key responsibilities include establishing and managing the Strategic Carrier Management Program, identifying opportunities for growth in ocean services, and developing new solutions to meet customer needs.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Develop and implement the company's global growth strategy

  • Monitor and evaluate carrier performance
Carrier and Contract Management

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing carrier contract negotiations, monitoring carrier performance, and ensuring compliance with federal and foreign regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing carrier contract negotiations and MQC (Minimum Quantity Commitment)
  • Monitoring and evaluating carrier performance via QBR (Quarterly Business Review) and YBR (Yearly Business Review)
  • Monitoring customer volume performance on a regular basis
Pricing and Procurement

The ideal candidate will be responsible for periodically auditing carrier invoices, bills of lading, and shipping line statements to ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Auditing carrier invoices, bills of lading, and shipping line statements
  • Developing, implementing, maintaining, and managing pricing and procurement standard operating procedures for the FCL product
  • Establishing and managing pricing strategy for ocean opportunities
Operational Management

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and high-quality ocean freight operations and managing key operational metrics.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring efficient and high-quality ocean freight operations
  • Managing key operational metrics such as cost, transit time, and service reliability
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with ocean carriers, port authorities, and other stakeholders
Financial Management

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance of the ocean freight product in the APAC region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the financial performance of the ocean freight product
  • Developing and implementing measures to achieve profitability targets
  • Preparing regular financial reports for senior management
Customer and Internal Support

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in RFPs (Requests for Proposals) for ocean services and supporting Sales in customer QBRs and presentations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in RFPs for ocean services
  • Supporting Sales in customer QBRs and presentations
  • Conferencing with customers and vendors to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services
Leadership and Collaboration

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating as the key stakeholder to address data quality issues and representing the company at business and customer functions.
