We strive to maximize the positive impact of our business activities and help our clients reduce their environmental footprint. As part of this effort, we have established a dedicated department to manage environmental and social risks across all our business lines and support functions worldwide.

The ESR team works closely with our clients to identify and mitigate potential environmental and social risks associated with their transactions. We also provide training and guidance to our colleagues on ESR best practices and policies to ensure consistency across all our operations.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include advising Local Risk & Compliance teams on compliance with ESR Policies requirements, analyzing client and transaction data to identify potential ESR profiles, and supporting the ESR Team in tracking and monitoring the APAC portfolio.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Advise Local Risk & Compliance teams during the local risk approval process on compliance with the group ESR Policies requirements, ensuring that risks are properly identified, assessed, and mitigated.
  • Support the ESR Team in tracking and monitoring the APAC portfolio on conditions set in ESR opinions. Coordinate and provide input from APAC into the Group Annual Reports (e.g. TCFD) and other ESR reporting and public disclosures.
  • Support the ESR team in the promotion of ESR Policy Framework, including providing local training to Front Office, Risk and Compliance colleagues, and developing ESR guidance documentation relevant to the APAC region when needed.
  • Help represent Natixis in local ESR initiatives and working groups, meetings with local industry associations (e.g. ASIFMA), and engage in discussion with local regulators (HKMA, MAS, etc.).
  • Participate in or coordinate regional initiatives that limit & reduce our direct impact on the environment and do good for society and our employees.
