Technical Lead for Card and Payment Solutions

At Bank Of China (Hong Kong) Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to spearhead the development of our card and payment solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain our systems.

Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned technical professional with extensive experience in system analysis, application design, and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microservices and API development, as well as expertise in utilizing DevSecOps pipeline tools.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the banking or finance sector, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. They will possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user requirements and develop technical designs to meet business needs;
  • Lead the implementation and enhancement of system functionalities to support business requirements;
  • Design and implement APIs to integrate internal banking systems;
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with developers and external parties to resolve problems;
  • Manage vendor relationships and communicate technical designs;
  • Oversee the development progress, perform code reviews, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards;
  • Provide emergency support and perform system maintenance during non-office hours.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in system analysis, application design, and development, preferably in the banking or finance sector;
  • Strong knowledge in Microservices and API development;
  • Experience in utilizing DevSecOps pipeline tools;
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes;
  • Bachelor's degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines preferred;
  • Knowledge in debit/credit card business is an asset.
