Job Overview:

The Dah Sing Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Director to lead the digital transformation of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the procurement function across the Bank, responsible for sourcing and procuring IT products and services, including hardware, software licenses, maintenance services, professional services, and system development services.

Track and analyze IT expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve cost efficiency through right sourcing.

Liaise with suppliers to obtain the best and fair deals for the Bank, manage the ordering and approval process, and support project teams in evaluating solutions and service providers.

Establish and maintain effective IT asset management processes, including tracking and maintaining accurate records of IT assets, handling relevant IT asset bookings, and managing renewal of maintenance contracts.

Develop and implement procedures for managing IT procurement, payment, and asset management, and create relevant templates such as contract templates.

Analyze and report on project costs of initiatives, track and analyze IT expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve cost efficiency through right sourcing.

Assist the IT Division Head in tracking IT budgets to ensure no overrun and handle regular budget rolling forecasts and make necessary accruals.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Information Technology or related discipline
  • At least 10 years of experience in the IT field, with over 5 years in banking IT
  • Solid experience in sourcing and procurement of IT products and services, including hardware, software licenses, maintenance services, professional services, and system development services
  • Experience in managing IT project costs and operating costs will be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of the IT market, pricing, and discounts
  • Good negotiation skills and ability to liaise firmly and fairly
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing service contracts
  • Able to work in an organized way, particularly in managing paperwork
  • Strong communication skills in both Chinese and English
  • Good English writing ability
  • Mature and able to work under pressure
  • Good people skills to work with people at different job levels
