About the Role

The Functional Consultant is a key member of our Oracle ERP implementation team, responsible for assisting customers with implementing Oracle ERP solutions (Financials or Supply Chain Management). This role requires heavy interaction with customers, implementation teams, and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare for, facilitate, and gain agreement on global design
  • Document the client's as-is process flows and communicate best practices for the to-be optimal state
  • Adapt the solution for localizations or business processes specific to a client's business unit or operating location
  • Document and gain agreement on the client configuration
  • Implement and configure ERP applications
  • Develop a test strategy to validate the solution and confirm successful deployment
  • Identify risks or issues associated with assigned tasks; take initiative to proactively alert project leadership of any risks or issues

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with customers to gather and document customer business requirements
  • Influence customers to modify current business practices, as required
  • Manage scope and expectations with the customer
  • Work with customers to implement and configure ERP solution to support customer business requirements
  • Establish credibility and rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively within a project team both on and off customer sites

Technical Expertise

  • Analyze and design solutions for business requirements which may include complex configurations and/or technical components
  • Assist in delivering client-facing workshops
  • Define detailed functional requirements
  • Work with technical teams to design, develop, and test automations and integrations
  • Perform quality reviews of deliverables developed by other team members
  • Collaborate and communicate with Project Managers and colleagues to facilitate on-time and on-budget project delivery
  • Train and mentor team members
  • Achieve or exceed billable utilization targets
  • Continue to increase product knowledge and pursue relevant certifications

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate or final-year student of a Bachelor's degree program or above in relevant disciplines, including Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Management, Computer Science, etc.
  • ERP software implementation and delivery knowledge/experience is an advantage
  • Has a keen interest in customer-facing consultant roles
  • Ability to guide customers based on leading practices
  • Ability to work well in teams, as well as independently
  • Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in English, verbal and written
  • Critical thinker, problem solver, curious learner
  • Able to learn new products and technologies on the job quickly
  • Capable of working independently, taking initiative with minimal supervision, yet participating as a team member with a willingness to help where needed
