This role is responsible for managing the Centre's intellectual property assets, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. The successful candidate will have experience in handling diverse IP portfolios and be familiar with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

The key responsibilities of this position include collaborating with patent attorneys to prepare and prosecute patent applications, managing patent portfolios, and ensuring timely renewals. Additionally, the candidate will handle ABIC's intellectual property assets, operate mechanisms for their protection and management, facilitate technology transfer from research to commercial applications, and compile reports to university management teams.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with patent attorneys to prepare and prosecute patent applications
  • Manage patent portfolios and ensure timely renewals
  • Handle ABIC's intellectual property assets
  • Operate mechanisms for protection and management of intellectual property assets
  • Facilitate technology transfer from research to commercial applications
  • Compile reports to university management teams

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field, such as life science, medical engineering, or a related discipline. A diploma or professional certificate in intellectual property laws would be highly advantageous. The successful candidate will also have at least two years of experience in intellectual property management, technology transfer, or a related field, preferably within a university or research institution setting.

In addition to technical expertise, the candidate should possess excellent business English writing skills, proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
