Actuarial Pricing Supervisor, General Insurance

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the actuarial team in conducting comprehensive product pricing evaluations across various lines of business, ensuring thorough documentation of methodologies and insights in reports that detail trends in claims and forecasts of financial outcomes.
- Adhere to established protocols and standards in the development of Generalized Linear Models (GLM), including data validation, model assessment, impact evaluations, and peer reviews.
- Deliver financial forecasts for business prospects to support critical decision-making processes.
- Articulate pricing strategies and recommendations to stakeholders including CGIO, CUO, business units, finance, risk management, and actuarial teams to secure necessary approvals.
- Collaborate with Group pricing specialists to ensure alignment with best practices in pricing strategies.
- Partner with the Data Science team to investigate innovative approaches for leveraging both internal and external data in pricing methodologies.
- Address inquiries from external stakeholders such as business partners and regulators, as well as internal departments including project management, IT, product development, and finance regarding rating algorithms and technical results.
- Assist in monitoring loss ratio performance across key business segments.
- Provide coaching and guidance to actuarial analysts on pricing techniques and peer review processes.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in actuarial practices and methodologies.
Candidate ProfileQualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Mathematics.
- Partially or fully qualified with recognized international actuarial bodies from the UK, US, or Australia.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in an actuarial role within General Insurance.
- Proven experience in mentoring actuarial professionals.
- Strong communication skills to engage with various business units effectively.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Cantonese.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Word, MS Excel, and programming languages such as Python or R.
