Job Description:

The Derivatives Trading Operations Team plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of Hong Kong's derivatives market. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for overseeing daytime operations, ensuring smooth exchange functionality, and resolving any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daytime operations to guarantee seamless exchange performance
  • Ensure efficient production handovers to the evening shift
  • Address contingencies promptly, enforce proper escalation procedures, and adhere to established policies and protocols
  • Promote operational excellence by continually improving tools, processes, rules, and policies
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement new products and initiatives
  • Stay abreast of international trends in regulatory developments related to derivatives market operations
  • Foster strong relationships with relevant statutory bodies, industry associations, and market participants

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; Strong IT project experience is a significant advantage
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years at the management level of well-established financial institutions
  • Thorough knowledge of derivatives products, market practices, and regulations, as well as the trading platform; Experience with various derivatives products and their trade life cycle and risk management is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people management skills, with proven ability to handle time-sensitive situations, multitask, and adapt effectively to changing priorities
  • Exceptional command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua being an advantage
