Process Optimization Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update records/information in the central library, ensuring an up-to-date inventory of Code of Banking Practice, Product Matrix, Banking Returns, reports, surveys, Vendor List, and Product Programs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Compliance, Financial Management Group, and Product Managers, to ensure timely updates to the central library inventory upon new issuances or changes.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date CoBP Self-Assessment templates for each product to facilitate yearly and mid-year Self-Assessment exercises.
  • Ensure the Product/Channel Mapping table/Master Register of CoBP is up-to-date, holding the inventory of all CoBP requirements/business changes.
  • Participate in discussions with Product/Business Managers and team heads to assess, address, and manage risks associated with CoBP, Banking Returns/reports/surveys, Vendor List, and Product Programs.
  • Contribute to organizing and conducting periodic assurance reviews to ensure controls are well-implemented.
  • Coordinate with Product/Business Managers to prepare CoBP gap analyses.
  • Assist the supervisor/team head in monitoring and addressing identified issues/gaps, following up with appropriate actions until final resolution.
  • Support the Internal Audit Group in conducting self-assessments on CoBP on an annual basis.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the team head as needed.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Business Administration, Risk Management, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in retail banking operations control, business risk management, internal audit, or regulatory compliance.
  • Possesses knowledge of regulatory requirements in the banking industry, banking practices, operations, and procedures.
  • Prior experience in handling compliance assurance/assessment of Code of Banking Practice, Banking Returns, and/or new regulatory requirements is an advantage.
  • A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
