We are seeking an experienced IT operations supervisor to join our team at the Airport Authority Hong Kong. As an IT system administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our airport infrastructure systems.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our airport operations. You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless service delivery and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure seamless service delivery and daily operations.
- Engage in project development cycles to improve systems monitoring capabilities and operational efficiency.
- Specify support and maintenance requirements for production systems and services.
- Provide technical expertise solutions for application systems-related problems and issues.
- Improve operations efficiency by automating daily operational tasks using RPA tools.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on system contingency planning and operational drill execution.
- Supervise in-sourced contractors and support production systems.
- Manage alerts from event monitoring tools throughout their lifecycle to prevent, minimize, or eliminate their negative impact on airport operations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in IT systems administration, including operation, technical support, and project management, with at least 1-2 years proven experience in programming and shell scripting.
- Experience in supporting VMware, SAN storage, CyberArk, NetBackup, Splunk, ServiceNow, etc.
- Certification in relevant technologies e.g. MS Windows / RHEL / HP Unix is definitely advantageous.
- Certification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 or above is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese; Putonghua is preferred.
- Holder of a Hong Kong driving license is preferred.
