About the Role

As a key member of our infrastructure support team, you will work with our high-performance Linux based trading and research platforms. Your responsibilities will include building, administering, upgrading and supporting QRT's Linux estate, contributing to monitoring and automation initiatives, and working with engineering teams to document and improve processes.

Requirements
  • Hands-on experience working with Linux based platforms is a must, with excellent Linux administration skills and knowledge of RedHat and Centos.
  • Experience of complete end to end server deployments, working knowledge of AMD / Intel server hardware and physical components, and experience designing and tuning low latency server infrastructure.
  • A drive to get to the bottom of issues and perform a full root-cause analysis, good problem solving, communication and analytical skills, and a willingness to learn more.
  • Team-player with working knowledge of server network stack, network protocols (e.g. TCP, UDP), LAN and WAN technologies, and some experience of the use of automation technologies (e.g. Ansible) and NFS systems.
  • Some experience of python and bash scripting is an advantage, as is previous experience in a buy-side environment.
