We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join our team at Eclipse Trading. Our company is a leading proprietary derivatives trading firm in Asia, with a strong focus on technology and innovation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and self-motivated engineer to work with a growing international company. You will be part of our global Operations team, responsible for the administration and advancement of our office and trading IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer solutions to administer, support, and evolve mission-critical trading systems and infrastructure in a distributed environment.
  • Administer Linux systems and associated services.
  • Innovate and enhance infrastructure services through automation and solution engineering.
  • Work closely with Operations and DevOps team members, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess infrastructure needs, plan, and execute infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud services.
  • Project work building new and improving existing systems and processes.
  • Ensure that IT policies and procedures are being monitored and adhered to.
  • After-hours and weekend work for implementing changes required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years administering a RHEL/Fedora environment with automation experience.
  • 6+ years relevant experience with scripting languages such as Python, Go, PERL.
  • VMware Server, Container, and Cloud platform experience.
  • Configuration management tooling experience such as SaltStack.
  • Databases, network management, and central logging system experience.
  • Ability to manage large cross-team projects and drive to completion.
  • Independent problem-solving, self-direction, highly motivated, and strong initiative for quality-driven changes.
  • Ability to meet commitments and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Team player, willing to share knowledge and mentor team members.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
