Job Title: Legal Caseworker
About Our Mission:We strive to create a resilient and empowered refugee community in Hong Kong and beyond. Our goal is to support vulnerable refugees through access to resources and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate legal appointments for participants, including accompanying them to court hearings or CIC sessions.
- Collaborate with other organizations and lawyers to support non-refoulement claims.
- Coordinate interviews with IRCC and offer support during the process.
- Gather information and documents from individual participants for resettlement applications.
- Facilitate communication between caseworkers, lawyers, and sponsors for Private Sponsorship applications.
- Keep participants informed about case updates, including non-refoulement claims and resettlement applications.
- A working knowledge of technology, Google Suite, and MS Office Suites.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations is preferred.
- Background in the NGO sector is beneficial but not essential.
- Able to demonstrate initiative and maintain high attention to detail.
- A strong team player who is sensitive to emotional needs.
- Able to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Holding the right to work in Hong Kong is mandatory.
