Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Engineer to join our team at IO TECH SOLUTIONS LIMITED. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our Linux infrastructure, ensuring 24x7 availability of our environments.

  • Maintain and Develop Linux Infrastructure: Ensure the stability and performance of our Linux environments, including servers, storage, and networking.
  • System Administration: Manage, coordinate, and implement software updates, patches, and hotfixes on servers, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Support Across Levels: Provide L1, L2, and L3 support for server issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts to automate routine tasks, improve system efficiency, and enhance overall infrastructure management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teams to design and deploy automation strategies using tools like Kubernetes and Ansible, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
  • Cloud and Virtualization: Manage virtual environments in AWS and internal VMware ESX environments, ensuring optimal resource utilization and performance.
  • Server Management: Deploy and manage both physical and virtual servers, ensuring scalability, performance, and high availability.
  • Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor systems, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize system capacity to ensure optimal performance.
  • Disaster Recovery: Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) drills, ensuring business continuity and minimal downtime.
  • On-Call and Weekend Support: Provide on-call support as needed and scheduled weekend support, ensuring 24x7 availability of our infrastructure.
Key Qualifications
  • 5+ Years of Experience: As a Linux Administrator in complex environments, with expertise in Linux (RedHat) in both physical and virtual environments.
  • Expertise in Linux: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, VMware Tanzu, and AWS infrastructure, with strong knowledge of server hardware (HPE or similar) and architecture.
  • Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in developing scripts (Python, Bash, etc.) to automate tasks, with experience working with AWS and managing virtual machines.
  • Cloud Expertise: Experience working with AWS and managing virtual machines, with knowledge of server clustering and Veritas cluster technologies.
  • Windows OS Knowledge: An added advantage, with experience working with Windows OS and integrating it with Linux environments.
