Job Description
We are seeking an outstanding candidate for the post of Professor/Associate Professor in Spatial Planning and Urban Studies. The appointee will be responsible for teaching courses and curriculum development at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level related to spatial planning, sustainable urbanism, or related fields. The successful candidate will also conduct independent research, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on relevant research projects, undertake academic administrative service, and promote collaboration with professional institutions in the field.
Requirements
- A doctoral degree in a relevant field.
- A strong academic background in at least one of the following areas: spatial planning, sustainability, geography, environmental policy, or a related field.
- Demonstrated outstanding research and scholarly works in the relevant fields, showcasing research excellence.
- Planning or related professional qualifications.
Appointment Terms
Appointment will normally be made on a contract basis for up to three years initially, targeted to start in August 2024. The appointee will be able to engage in cutting-edge research, collaborate with talented colleagues, and actively participate in our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
