About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Risk Management Leader to join our team at AXA Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our risk management efforts and ensuring that our business operations are aligned with our risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Risk Management Efforts: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure the long-term sustainability of our business.
  • Collaborate with Business Units: Work closely with our business units to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with our operations.
  • Develop and Maintain Risk Appetite Framework: Establish and maintain a comprehensive risk appetite framework that aligns with our business objectives and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee Risk Management Team: Lead and manage a team of risk management professionals to ensure that our risk management efforts are effective and efficient.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulatory Requirements: Ensure that our business operations comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and Implement Risk Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential risks and ensure the long-term sustainability of our business.
  • Monitor and Report on Risk Exposure: Monitor and report on our risk exposure to ensure that our risk management efforts are effective and efficient.
Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the financial services and insurance industry, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management at a managerial level or above.
  • Strong knowledge of the local life and health insurance market, including regulations, product, pricing, and valuation, distribution, underwriting, claims, and reinsurance.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience in quantitative finance, including the application of derivatives for hedging purposes, asset liability management (ALM), and value-at-risk (VaR).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to break down complex technical problems into essential elements and identify priority areas for planning and execution.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills across all levels of an organization.
