Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our team at Oliver James Associates. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the evaluation and recommendation of discretionary benefits, contributing to regular operational processes, and supporting the review of product-related documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of discretionary benefits, ensuring alignment with organizational expectations.
  • Contribute to regular operational processes, including the generation of asset share reports, regulatory disclosures, and the maintenance and enhancement of actuarial models.
  • Support the review of product-related documents to verify accuracy and ensure that communications align with organizational expectations.
  • Provide additional actuarial support to the Team Lead based on changing regulations and business requirements.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or a related field.
  • Proven progress in actuarial examinations.
  • 2 years of full-time experience in the life insurance sector (candidates with less experience may be considered for an Actuarial Analyst position).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Prophet ALS, AXIS, or similar actuarial software is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Par Management and product pricing is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in both Cantonese and English is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
