Job Title: Compliance Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team at Rapyd. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our business operations are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk merchants to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Conduct compliance reviews on escalations by 1LOD to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Provide support to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for regulatory reporting, management reporting, and project scoping.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain relevant policies, procedures, templates, and manuals on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) controls framework.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and groups to improve process efficiencies and compliance.
  • Conduct training sessions for colleagues to enhance compliance knowledge and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in compliance, AML, and payment industry knowledge.
  • Effective communication skills to foster positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a compliance or similar role, preferably in the payments or Fintech industries.
  • Proven experience managing compliance and regulatory risks.
  • Good understanding of regulatory and ML/TF risk management matters.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects to completion.
  • Experience in building or enhancing processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced or startup environment.
  • Flexible and creative thinker able to adapt to different environments.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Relevant professional certification, such as CAMS.
