About the Role

The Retail Leasing Officer is responsible for the leasing and management of retail spaces in a premier shopping destination located in the heart of the city. This role involves identifying and attracting the optimal mix of retail tenants, negotiating lease agreements, and ensuring the mall's tenant portfolio aligns with the overall strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leasing Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective leasing strategies to fill vacant spaces and maintain a high occupancy rate.
  • Tenant Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and negotiate with potential tenants to secure new lease agreements.
  • Lease Renewal Management: Manage the lease renewal process for existing tenants, including renegotiating terms and conditions.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform leasing decisions.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the company's tenant mix and attract new visitors.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of lease agreements, tenant information, and leasing activities.
  • Tenant Support: Address tenant inquiries and resolve any lease-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Assist in the preparation of regular reports and presentations for management.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in real estate, business administration, or a related field.

  • Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and make strategic leasing decisions, proficiency in using real estate and lease management software, highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, knowledge of local real estate regulations and industry best practices.
