At Rosewood Hong Kong, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fitness Centre Manager to join our team. As a key member of our wellness team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fitness centre, providing exceptional guest service, and promoting a culture of wellness and fitness.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Emergency Response**: Observe activity in the recreational facility and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency.
  • **Fitness Centre Operations**: Ensure that the Fitness Centre is opened and closed properly, according to hotel standards and policies.
  • **Floor Coordination**: Serve as the Floor Coordinator/Fitness Supervisor for the entire Fitness Centre during shift.
  • **Pool and Spa Management**: Check pool and spa chemical readings at prescribed intervals; make adjustments as necessary.
  • **Safety and Security**: Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members.
  • **Certifications and Training**: Complete any certifications/training required by law or manufacturer to instruct guests/clients on the use of equipment.
  • **Guest Service**: Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
  • **Team Support**: Assist other employees to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.
  • **Guest Engagement**: Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings.

**Requirements**

  • **Experience**: Minimum 5 years' relevant working experience in a sizeable luxury spas, fitness centre or wellness services with at least 3 years in a similar capacity.
  • **Guest Service Skills**: Possess excellent guest services skills, professional presentation, and sophisticated interpersonal skills.
  • **Leadership Potential**: Confident, enthusiastic, and motivational.
  • **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal bilingual communication skills.
  • **Business Acumen**: Strong sense in business acumen and wellness market trends with leadership potential.
