About the Role

We are seeking experienced lifeguards to join our team at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. As a Seasonal Lifeguard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of swimmers at beaches and water sports centers.

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure the safety of swimmers by actively patrolling the beach and providing assistance when needed.">
• To rescue swimmers in distress and provide first aid as required.">
• To maintain order and assist in cleaning work.">
• To work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental goals.">

Requirements

• ">
• A minimum of one year's experience in lifeguarding or a related field.">
• A valid Beach Lifeguard Award or above issued by the Hong Kong Life Saving Society.">
• A valid First Aid Certificate issued by the St. John Ambulance Association, Hong Kong Red Cross, or Auxiliary Medical Service.">
• The ability to pass an eyesight test and the Ishihara's Test.">
• Satisfactory performance and conduct in the most recent three years of service in the LCSD.">

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, including a monthly salary range of HK$22,555 - HK$29,070.

Terms of Appointment

Applicants will be appointed on contract terms under the PRSC Scheme.

Working Hours and Deployment

The conditioned working hours are 45 hours net per week. The incumbent is required to work 71⁄2 hours per day (excluding meal breaks) and may be required to work shifts during the period from 6:15 am to 10:15 pm according to supervisors' arrangements or to work overtime. He/She is also required to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. The post holders will be deployed to any public beaches/water sports centers of LCSD subject to operational needs.
