Key Responsibilities

The Financial Applications Support Specialist plays a vital role in managing and maintaining the firm's Legal Practice Management System (LPMS) and other financial software applications.

  • Provide Level 1 and 2 technical support for the Firm's LPMS, which includes Aderant Expert Sierra and Intapp, addressing troubleshooting, bug resolution, and technical issues.
  • Efficiently respond to user inquiries to minimize disruptions and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Oversee user account setup, manage permissions, and enforce appropriate access controls.
  • Collaborate with both external (Aderant) and internal IT teams to ensure seamless application integration, stability, and security.
  • Manage the rollout of application upgrades and patches, identifying issues and coordinating with vendors for necessary fixes and enhancements.
  • Lead the configuration and customization of applications to align with business needs.
  • Monitor application performance to ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
  • Conduct regular system testing to maintain application integrity.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for end users involved in application and workflow improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to application support processes, best practices, and troubleshooting FAQs.
  • Facilitate user training sessions to enhance application usage.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies regarding LPMS usage, data governance, and access controls.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and innovations in LPMS technology.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the Firm's objectives.

Qualifications / Person Specification

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in application support, technical troubleshooting, and user assistance, preferably within legal or professional services environments.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with software development vendors to enhance application support and incident management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Aderant products is advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience in system configuration, customization, and testing.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting operations and software applications is a plus.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines amidst changing priorities.
  • High level of discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Proactive and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese, enabling effective interaction with all levels of the Firm and external vendors.
