Key Responsibilities

">
  • ">
  • Utilize the firm's software and technology to examine, organize, summarize, and analyze information.">
  • Investigate factual issues using various resources, including client and industry repositories, statutes, regulations, online media, and outside sources.">
  • Maintain client, matter, or practice group specific extranets, databases, or libraries in electronic format or hard copy as required.">
  • Present results effectively in emails, written memos, or discussions and provide status updates to stakeholders.">
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets using standard formulas.">
  • Coordinate the tracking and storage of client information in conjunction with the Records Department while adhering to department and firm policies.">
  • Maintain administrative standards, including daily time entries, attendance at meetings, and other assigned tasks.">
  • Perform ad hoc duties and projects assigned by lawyers.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of three years of paralegal experience.">
  • Excellent communication skills, including bilingual language ability for both Chinese and English.">
  • A working understanding of legal terminology and the foundation of law specific to the practice group.">
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to be trained on specific practice group technology.">
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow up on assignments, and produce a quality work product with appropriate oversight.">
  • A positive, flexible, and committed attitude, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a practice support team.">
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions.">
  • Critical thinking skills, willingness to follow instructions, and responsibility to bring problems to the attention of the supervising lawyer.">
  • The ability to remain current in practice area industry trends and the legal profession, seeking out training opportunities.">
  • Sound judgment in decision-making to solve problems and achieve defined business outcomes.">
  • Organizational and prioritization skills, with minimal supervision.">
  • A proactive working attitude, taking the initiative in handling projects and maintaining confidentiality around firm and client matters.">
