Salary Range
The estimated annual salary for this position is between HK$700,000 and HK$1,200,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description
As a Business Economist with the Bank of China, you will play a crucial role in supporting the bank's strategic planning and decision-making processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive macroeconomic research and analysis to inform business strategy and investment decisions.
- Developing and maintaining economic models and forecasting tools to support the bank's risk management and asset-liability management functions.
- Presenting research findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business strategies that align with the bank's overall goals and objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree or higher in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in macroeconomic research and analysis, preferably in a financial institution or consulting firm.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong knowledge of economic theories, models, and data analysis techniques, including time series analysis, econometrics, and statistical modeling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with economic software packages such as EViews or Stata.
