Job Overview

JobsLab is seeking an experienced Macro Portfolio Manager to lead our China and Japan markets investment strategy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a macro portfolio focused on these high-growth regions.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in macroeconomic principles and apply it to drive alpha in some of the world's most dynamic markets. You will develop and execute trading strategies, conduct thorough research and analysis, and work closely with our senior management and investors to ensure optimal portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Manage and oversee a macro portfolio focused on China or Japan, implementing investment strategies to achieve targeted returns.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive macroeconomic research and analysis specific to China or Japan, including political, economic, and market trends.
  • Risk Management: Implement robust risk management practices to ensure portfolio risk is within acceptable limits.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other portfolio managers, analysts, and traders within the fund to share insights and develop comprehensive investment strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees (Master's, PhD) or professional certifications (CFA, CAIA) are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of track record managing a macro portfolio with a strong focus on China or Japan markets.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of macroeconomic principles and their application to investment strategies.
  • Proven track record of generating alpha in China or Japan markets.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex economic data.
  • Excellent risk management and portfolio optimization skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and relevant trading platforms.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Estimated Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
