Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our sustainability efforts in sourcing. As the Director of Sustainable Sourcing, you will be responsible for driving our vision to be the most agile, competitive, digitalized, and cleanest supply base in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for chemicals, water, and waste management across our supply chain.
- Drive strategic projects, implement tools and audits, and manage activities to achieve our sustainability goals.
- Manage ESG reporting requirements and develop a corresponding sourcing strategy to ensure compliance.
- Analyze key performance indicators to track supplier performance and provide business partners with clear summaries for future improvement areas.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including NGOs, government bodies, and professional institutions, to investigate and test new concepts linked to chemicals, water, and waste management.
- Maintain knowledge on relevant environmental legislation and report updates, identifying areas of risk and providing recommendations.
- Identify training needs in the supply chain, provide training, and conduct regular monitoring and oversight to ensure suppliers meet reporting deadlines.
- Monitor the annual third-party verification process and provide guidance to suppliers in driving improvements.
- Manage input into the annual supplier program assessments.
- Role model leadership to foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Develop and coach a team to ensure the best standards of performance, appropriate skillsets, and strong succession plans.
Requirements:
- University degree in a relevant field, such as chemical, process, industrial, environmental engineering, or manufacturing.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in environment and sustainability, preferably within the supply chain.
