Job Title: Electrical Specialist Engineer

Veolia is seeking an experienced Electrical Specialist Engineer to join our team at T PARK, the sludge treatment facility in Hong Kong. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and stable operation of our power systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice to management and operations teams on power system maintenance and operation.
  • Liaise with vendors and operations teams to plan and coordinate power system maintenance.
  • Develop and implement high voltage maintenance shutdown plans, including isolation planning and coordination.
  • Update and maintain maintenance procedures, and prepare new procedures as required.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of high voltage system maintenance, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience writing switching programs for high voltage operators, checking and approving isolation plans for maintenance activities.
  • Hands-on experience performing high voltage switching, wearing an arc-flash suit, and performing switching such as isolation, issuing permits, and re-energisation after maintenance.
  • Ability to analyse single line diagrams and electrical schematics during troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.
  • Demonstrated focus on safety and a solid understanding of power station operation.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to lead and coach an existing team of technicians/engineers.
