Job Description:

A successful IT Project Manager will lead the end-to-end project management lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

Collaboration with business stakeholders, technology teams, and senior management is essential to identify project goals, scope, and deliverables.

The IT Project Manager will develop detailed project plans, resource allocation, timelines, budgets, and risk management strategies.

Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, addressing issues, and ensuring projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards are key responsibilities.

The successful candidate will manage a team of cross-functional resources, including developers, business analysts, and testers.

Ensuring effective collaboration and resource allocation is crucial.

The IT Project Manager must ensure project compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit needs.

Preparing regular project status reports and documentation, communicating project updates to stakeholders and senior management, is a critical task.

This role requires driving process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery methodologies, tools, and techniques.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT project management/business analysis within the investment banking industry, specifically in fixed-income trading technology projects.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed-income products, including credit, rates, swaps, and related trading systems and technologies.
  • Robust understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, including Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of managing complex projects, including multiple workstreams and vendors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as MS Project, JIRA, or similar applications.
