The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is seeking to fill four research scientist roles, supported by the Research Talent Hub for ITF projects, focusing on the advancement of sustainable low-carbon technologies. The areas of research include water harvesting (Positions 1, 2), air purification (Position 3), and biofuel production (Position 4).
The selected candidates will engage in the following research activities:
Position 1: Focus on nanomaterials, nanofabrication, and thermal and fluid dynamics.
Position 2: Study of airflow dynamics and mechanics.
Position 3: Research on electrospinning, air filtration, and nanofiber technology.
Position 4: Exploration of catalysis and hydrogen production methods.
Applicants are required to possess a PhD in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, material science, or a closely related field. Successful candidates should demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and possess strong experimental and communication skills. Preference will be given to those with practical experience in material modeling and prototype development.
Contract Details:
The initial contract duration is for one year, with the possibility of renewal. Salary will be aligned with qualifications and experience, accompanied by benefits such as annual leave and medical and dental coverage.
