Remittance Operations Manager (Reputable Regional Bank) A leading regional bank is seeking an experienced Remittance Operations Manager to join the Clearing & Settlement Operations team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and controlling the operations of their Section, and ensuring all daily transactions and relevant controls are performed accurately and properly according to the Bank’s standard procedures and compliance requirement. Key Responsibilities: Closely monitor daily remittance/payment services processes and the distribution of SWIFT messages to ensure they are duly completed effectively. Review and authorize payment instructions in various payment systems such as SWIFT, RTGS, and Alnova. Ensure subordinates comply with the rules and regulatory requirements of governing authorities. Liaise and communicate with other departments on payment services, SWIFT-related operational, and control matters. Closely monitor data maintenance in various remittance/payment services systems and RMA maintenance in SWIFT. Ensure any discrepancies and/or irregularities are followed up in a timely manner and reported to related parties properly. Supervise subordinates and ensure their work meets the required standard of the bank, including appraising performance. Assist supervisors in improving team engagement and strengthening communications through regular team talks, listen‑up sessions, and cross-product training. Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines, and standards set by regulators and the Bank, carrying out duties with high integrity. Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures, and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate, and monitor day‑to‑day risks. Participate actively in any ad‑hoc projects for the department or the Bank as required. Requirements: University graduate, preferably majoring in Banking, Economics, or Finance; OR AHKIB or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage. Minimum of 6 years’ related experience in the banking sector, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position within operations support. Sound knowledge of payment services. Proven ability to lead a team and ensure excellent service delivery. Good understanding of relevant policies, procedures, practices, and rules. A team leader with strong communication skills and risk awareness. Comprehensive knowledge of AML / Compliance requirements for payment transactions. Familiarity with various payment systems, such as SWIFT, RTGS, and RMA, is preferable. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
