Our Values Safety first - going home safe and well Client focus - deliver on our promise Integrity - always do the right thing Create opportunity - for our people to excel Role Overview The role of a digital consultant is to project manage a team delivering all aspects of digital services delivery on a client project or programme - through mobilization, discovery assessment and implementation of digital solutions through testing and training, and into live operation. It requires a mixture of experience of IT and digital solutions and services typically deployed on construction projects and programmes, or within a PMO, with effective project delivery, and problem solving. The end customer is the client and the body of people working on the project that need functional and efficient digital technologies and solutions to help then plan, manage, control, and deliver the project. Responsibilities Overall - to manage all aspects of digital solution delivery and operation on client-facing projects to enable the project/programme team to work efficiently and effectively and get access to the data they need. Utilizing an appropriate body of knowledge (e.g. the Mace way), project delivery methodology, standards, and templates. Gathering requirements from the client, project colleagues and business users, and understanding the client needs. Understanding the data architecture of clients and advising and delivering integrations and dynamic reporting dashboards. Developing the digital strategy, data and system architecture and leading a digital team responsible for delivery of that strategy. Working with colleagues and peers as part of a development and support team. Settling solutions on to stable-state operations whilst retaining some reach-back support. Liaise with partner IT functions; and other stakeholder IT functions; client and supply chain partners. Define the digital team structure, recruit team members, line manage and develop the team to be high performing and support their well-being. To engage seamlessly with other teams within the client project eco-system. Define and set up governance models. Develop and keep your business and technical knowledge and networks current and continuously improving. Requirements You’ll need to have: Experience as a digital consultant or supporting a digital lead on one or more previous major construction projects or programmes. Knowledge of the latest technology and how it can be applied to business problems. Strategic thinking and planning related to technology. Experience of being responsible for software selection and implementation and software licensing. Technology supplier management. System and enterprise architecture. IT project management capabilities and qualifications. Project budgeting and cost management. Business case writing. Business analysis. Technology support. Experience of technology and software used in the real estate, construction or project management sectors. Good stake-holder management. People management in direct and matrix management modes. Information security, data protection and risk assessment. Knowledge of data architecture and different technologies for dynamic client reporting (i.e., MS Fabric, Data bricks, etc.) and experience of delivering reporting capabilities for clients.
