Job Description AECOM is seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Analyst Programmer – GIS to support the development and enhancement of GIS applications and workflows. The successful candidate will work closely with system analysts, developers, and client-side teams to deliver robust and user-friendly GIS solutions. This role may require working on-site at client offices. Responsibilities Develop and maintain GIS applications for web and desktop environments. Implement data editing workflows, map production tools, and integration modules. Collaborate with system analysts and database architects to ensure functional alignment. Conduct testing, debugging, and performance tuning of GIS applications. Prepare technical documentation and user guides. Provide support and troubleshooting for deployed solutions. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, or related field. 3 to 5 years of experience in application development, preferably in GIS environments. Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and web development frameworks. Experience with Esri ArcGIS API, ArcPy, and related SDKs. Strong understanding of spatial data structures and GIS workflows. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS and Oracle Spatial. Familiarity with QGIS and open-source GIS tools. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems. Fluent in English and Cantonese.
