Teacher of Learning Enhancement

Teacher of Learning Enhancement (Senior School) We’re looking for a dedicated Teacher of Learning Enhancement to create engaging, hands‑on learning experiences. The successful candidate will be expected to work with pupils who need additional support. This includes pupils with learning, social, emotional and behavioural, communication difficulties or long‑term medical issues impacting on educational development. He/She may also work with gifted and talented pupils and students. As a Malvern College teacher, the postholder will play a full role in the school’s curricular, co‑curricular and pastoral programmes. Key Responsibilities Support neurodivergent, bilingual/multilingual, and Gifted and Talented senior pupils. Case manage individual pupils on the Learning Enhancement (LE) register and set goals through Individualised Education Plans (IEPs). Plan and deliver research‑based intervention lessons for individuals or small groups. Adapt MYP/DP teaching materials using differentiated instruction and universal design principles. Collaborate with subject teachers, parents, and external agencies to review and implement LE plans. Establish partnerships with subject teachers to address individual pupil needs. Track pupil progress through assessments and adjust interventions accordingly. Communicate intervention plans and updates to relevant parties. Engage in ongoing professional development in SEN, EAL, and Gifted and Talented education. Maintain and update the LE register on iSams and related documentation. Ensure appropriate assessment arrangements for internal and external evaluations. Work collaboratively with the pastoral team and Learning Enhancement Team. Requirements Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject area; A recognised teaching qualification for the required age range (e.g. B.Ed., PGCE). Relevant SEN/EAL and/or Gifted Education qualifications/training; Learning Enhancement practitioner with at least 1‑3 years of teaching experience who is dedicated to enabling each child to achieve the highest possible standards; Knowledge in an international context is essential; Classroom teaching experience is essential; Teaching experience within a Learning Enhancement team at an International School is preferable but not essential; Detailed knowledge of a range of interventions to support learning and social/emotional growth; Ability to communicate with pupils, colleagues and parents, and to build strong relationships with all members of the school community.
