Vice President, Global Markets HR Business Partner, AEJ The HRBP role will be based in Hong Kong and will work in a Regional HR team of 60. The role will report into the Head of HR for Global Markets – AEJ. The role provides senior & strategic HR advisory to clients within the Global Markets division, working closely with respective product/function heads, divisional HRBPs (in and outside of AEJ) as well as HR Specialist teams to deliver an exceptional level of service to the Nomura business. As a pro-active, commercial and results-driven HRBP, the successful candidate will deliver on the objective of building strong relationships with clients, enabling the delivery of an exceptional people agenda, resolving and advising on HR issues. The successful candidate must be agile in navigating different client groups, and in working within a fast paced and dynamic environment to create solutions where required. Responsibilities Work with Head of Global Markets HR and the regional/global Global Markets HR team to drive, lead and execute HR initiatives for business division regionally Work closely with business heads and business managers to understand the business, its needs and leverage the understanding for HR delivery and guide them to resolve HR issues Act as business partner to line managers on all HR matters and provide human resources expertise in implementing business initiatives including and not limited to performance management, compensation practices, learning and development, and Firm policies and procedures Work in conjunction with the specialist recruitment team to ensure resourcing requirements are proactively understood and met in the region Partner with other HRBPs across functions and regions to foster teamwork and a positive work environment through frequent collaboration and sharing of best practices Partner with specialist Talent and L&D teams to implement ongoing training, career development planning and implementation of employee development programs based on business needs Employee retention, employee connect, propagate our employee value proposition Participate, provide advice and implement various people initiatives through focused work streams Keep abreast of the employment regulations and practice in Singapore to ensure HR operational processes are delivered efficiently and in compliance with local regulations, enforce adherence and mitigate any potential risks Oversee and participate in HR projects which involve change of existing HR policies and processes in line with local legal and statutory requirements Requirements Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university Minimum 10 years of human resources experience with client coverage, including experience consulting with senior managers Minimum 10 years of working experience in technical human resources expertise, including compensation, employee relations and staffing in a Financial Services environment Experience across the Asia markets (in particular Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, India) with statutory knowledge Ability to work independently with excellent communication skills and the ability to frame problems and solutions quickly and concisely Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple priorities and competing deadlines Effective at building relationships with business leaders and employees and able to accomplish his/her objectives through influence and persuasion A problem-solver, able to think strategically while possessing the knowledge and intelligence to quickly solve day-to-day human resources issues.
