Job Description Research Associate(s) ZJ) The Chinese University of Hong Kong, in collaboration with MIT-RAISE, co-created the Al Education for Students Project. With funding support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, it aims to cultivate AI literacy and competencies in students, empowering them to learn more effectively, use technology more discerningly, innovate more creatively, hence better prepared for the future workplace and society. The Project engages schools to provide equitable access to quality AI learning for students in Hong Kong. Applicants should have: Master’s degree, preferably in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, other Engineering disciplines, Education, Business Administration, or Communications with at least four years of post‑qualification relevant experience. A strong understanding of emerging technologies in STEAM education, with familiarity in AI concepts and their application in educational contexts. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively engage with teachers and students. Great enthusiasm for a successful career in AI Education and a commitment to fostering 21st‑century skills in young learners. A collaborative work attitude, self‑motivation, and a strong sense of commitment. Proficiency in Cantonese, with fluency in English and Putonghua. The following attributes/qualifications are desirable: Prior teaching experience is an advantage. Additional qualifications such as a PGDE are highly desirable. Post‑qualification work experience in organising student activities or providing teaching support in primary or secondary schools. A strong grasp of artificial intelligence knowledge, e.g., deep learning, transformer. Proficiency in programming, e.g., Python, C/C++, Java. Experience in developing, training, and applying AI models. The appointee(s) will be responsible for: Collaborating with professors and teachers to design, edit, and publish high‑quality training materials and teaching and learning (T&L) resources on AI for both teachers and students. Designing and delivering engaging, interactive workshops and training sessions on AI‑related topics for students and teachers. Conducting presentations and training in a professional manner with content adapted to suit the needs of diverse audiences. Analyzing the specific needs of individual schools to identify challenges and opportunities in implementing AI education. Undertaking any additional projects or ad‑hoc duties as assigned. Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for up to two years commencing December 2025, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
