IT Project Manager – Japanese Speakers (Locate in Hong Kong) Add expected salary to your profile for insights We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of digital projects across Web, Mobile, and System platforms. You will act as the primary contact for clients, manage internal teams, and ensure every project is delivered on time, and at exceptional quality. This role requires someone who is confident, structured, and proactive—someone who builds trust with clients while motivating their team to succeed . What you’ll be doing Take full responsibility for medium to large-scale IT projects , working independently with minimal supervision. Serve as the primary focal point for clients and the project lead for internal teams. Own all project deliverables, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely completion. Manage and control project scope, man‑days allocation, budgets, and schedules. Conduct milestone reviews, progress updates, and ensure all parties share consistent expectations. Stakeholder & Client Management Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients. Clearly explain project plans, functional specifications, user flows, and technical matters to clients and internal stakeholders. Liaise with clients or related parties on the system implementation, system integration plan to facilitate the project development process together with the team. Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, remove blockers, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with the Business Development team to explore upsell opportunities and share insights on industry and technology trends. Business Analysis & Documentation Lead the gathering, analysis, and documentation of business and technical requirements for system implementation, application development, and integration projects. Translate requirements into structured project documents (e.g., user stories, functional specs, workflows). Oversee UAT planning and execution to ensure solutions meet business objectives. Team Management Lead and mentor a small project team and provide guidance, coaching, and structured feedback to support team growth and performance. Foster positive morale, teamwork, and a continuous improvement mindset. Project Governance Manage change requests or enhancements raised by clients and align with Business Development for follow‑up. Apply appropriate project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, Hybrid) to fit delivery needs. Track and resolve project risks and issues promptly. Ensure all deliverables adhere to company quality standards. What we’re looking for Expected 5–8 years of solid IT project management experience, preferably in Web/Mobile/System development projects. Proven track record of delivering medium to large‑scale projects successfully. Strong domain knowledge in software development lifecycles. Excellent client‑facing communication skills with strong ownership and accountability. Strong interpersonal, presentation, and leadership abilities. Experience leading small teams is highly preferred. PMP or other project management certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, PRINCE2) are a plus. Must‑Have Qualifications Fluent in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) – for client‑facing communication with Japanese clients and global teamwork. Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English (both written and spoken).
