One of our clients, A leading international bank with a strong presence in Hong Kong, focusing on commercial and corporate banking services for global clients, including those in the US, EU and Greater China regions . Job Responsibilities Conduct in-depth financial analysis and risk assessments on corporate clients, including large multinationals and mid-market enterprises, to evaluate creditworthiness and prepare comprehensive credit proposals for new facilities, annual reviews, and renewals. Perform thorough due diligence, including KYC/CDD/EDD processes, for client onboarding, trigger events, and periodic reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as HKMA guidelines and anti-money laundering requirements. Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and industry trends to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate credit structures, limits, and mitigation strategies. Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers and internal teams (e.g., Credit, Treasury, Operations) to resolve complex client issues, facilitate loan documentation, and support seamless execution of transactions such as loan drawdowns, trade finance, and syndicated facilities. Monitor ongoing client portfolios, including sanctions alerts, limit excesses, and late payments, escalating risk issues as needed to maintain portfolio health. Prepare reports and presentations for credit committees, incorporating financial spreading, risk ratings, and deal structuring for facilities ranging from USD 10 million to 300 million. Assist in cross-functional projects, including system enhancements, regulatory audits, and business development initiatives to optimize credit processes and client relationships. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, or FRM are advantageous. At least 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis or risk management within commercial/corporate banking, preferably with exposure to large corporate clients in sectors like automotive, manufacturing or technology. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, credit risk assessment, and tools such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or Excel for data analysis. In-depth knowledge of banking products including term loans, revolving credit, trade finance, mortgages, FX, and investment loans. Excellent understanding of regulatory frameworks in Hong Kong, including HKMA prudential measures and international standards. Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin; strong communication skills for liaising with clients, legal counsels, and internal stakeholders.
